A Solicitors Network working for Solicitors - not brokers working for themselves

Since the move to the open market, we have worked closely with brokers and major insurers to develop our scheme aimed at obtaining the lowest possible premiums. Being a Solicitors’ group rather than a traditional broker has assisted us greatly in developing our relationships in the professional indemnity insurance market. Each year our influence in this market has grown, giving many of the firms with whom we deal significant savings on their Professional Indemnity costs.

These savings are based on the volumes of business we introduce together with our established and public commitment to quality which is a key factor for insurers further enhanced by our Risk Management Plus strategy.

The choice of Insurer is vital to firms to enable them to match the right Insurer for their practice. Not all insurers are the same nor are they looking to insure the same firms. For example, one major Insurer bases their premium on the number of qualified staff whereas the majority of others will base the premium on turnover and partner size. Therefore if you are a firm who has a small number of partners but a large turnover you should be obtaining quotations from the former. Some Insurers highly rate personal injury while others will increase the rate for Financial Services work. These differences explain the huge premium variations that can occur between Insurers for the same firm. It is a matter of profiling the right Insurer for your firm.
